Hotel was great - parents loved it as well as teenage soccer players. HUGE rooms, plenty of room for family, player, and all the soccer gear. Nice to have 2 TVs. Clean, comfortable, pretty quiet. Service was awesome - group sales rep, front desk, wait staff. Would choose for my team again!!

Cold and wet, but the boys won all 3 games so it was ok. Thank you for the hospitality. The hotel, food, and staff were great. We appreciate the buffet opening a half hour early, and the upgraded room for the boys to hang out. Those were great ideas. The gift bag is a nice touch too. If I had to pick one thing to comment on, it would be non-complimentary internet. Thank you,

Eric (coach) with Grove United Revolution said this was the best Courtyard he has stayed at. The service was above & beyond. Every request was fulfilled immediately. Our maintenance person even fixed his son's shoe.

My name is Martin, I'm the Asst. Coach for the U17 Grove United Girls Soccer Team from Ill. There was about 26 people in our group in 9 rooms this year. We had a larger group in the previous year. The Hotel was chosen for us by the Tournament people. I wanted to let you know that your front desk staff should be commended by their "Above and Beyond " service they provided for us. Particularly, to Dick (our other coach) and I. Let me explain, we arrived at your hotel on Fri 2/20 around 7:15pm. We planned to go out for dinner. Your staff was very helpful in recommending a restaurant to us. But on the way there, Dick's mini van loss its transmission. So he had to pull over. While stranded on the side of the expressway. Not knowing who to call, he called the Hotel for assistance. Whoever she was who worked that shift( PLEASE look up her name) offered her own personal AAA card for us to use her free towing service. She didn't know at that time that her father used the last free tow. But she helped find other alternatives for us. The other staff employee is Pamela. On Sat 2/21, I wanted to buy a birthday cake for one of our players. It was her Sweet 16th. Your staff mentioned a place in town to purchase a cake. Being from out of town and unfamiliar with the directions and also the weather was bad, I hesitated about going. I went back to the bar to come up with another idea. As I turned around, Pamela was putting on her coat and said she called up the cake place and asked me what I wanted to say on the cake. And off she went. In about 25 mins she came back with the cake, candles and paper plates. And because of the weather that evening, we catered in food from Olive Garden and we all ate in your conference room with the birthday cake as dessert. With the size of our group, that was our best time together at dinner we had. These 2 young ladies should be acknowledged and commended by you and Holiday Inn. They extending themselves in making our stay an enjoyable one. This is our 2nd time participating in the Ohio Elite Showcase Tournament. From my players and parents I have heard nothing but good things about your hotel and your staff. Because of your hotel staff, clean and comfortable accommodations. And especially what those those 2 young ladies has done for us. On our next trip back, my players, parents and I am insisting on staying at you hotel!! Again, I want to THANK Pam and the other young lady for their thoughtfulness and kindness!! Martin

Our soccer club had the pleasure of staying at your wonderful hotel this past weekend, February 20-22,2009. I just wanted to give you feedback on our stay. Your staff was exceptional! Quite a few of our team parents commented on the superior customer service we received. Every staff member was eager to please and very personable. Anything we asked for, the staff provided. The hotel was tastefully decorated, clean and well maintained. The girls enjoyed the breakfast and nice sized eating area. The milk and cookies along with the Sunday Gatorade were nice touches. Thanks again for everything.

Our group couldn't have been any happier with the hotel, they do it right from check in to check out. They cater to kids and family so it was perfect for our team and we'll definitely stay there again.

My daughter and I came for a soccer tournament. The breakfast provided was exceptional as was the service, the people from the front desk to housekeeping, the atmosphere, and the rooms. I experienced two of my best night's sleep ever! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful week-end. I have already recommended your hotel to several people at work here in Michigan. Keep up the great work!
We were there for a soccer tournament. Had continental breakfast in the concierge lounge. Also, the hotel provided a separate meeting room for parents/players to gather. The room had a couple of Wii's set up and also a private bartender. In ten years of going to soccer tournaments, we have never had this provided by a hotel before. That was outstanding.
About the first year in a row we've stayed in area fro soccer tourney. First time here (usually at Marriott on corner). This was much better. Prob cost us an extra $10 or $20 per night but worth it. Highlights were being able to get room we wanted, great breakfast, info table for teams, room perfectly in order. Best thing that happened was staff member who was able to provide hot chocolate for my daughter, sorry I didn't get their name but this is the kind of thing that made our stay outstanding.

I can not say enough though about your hotel and it's staff! Terrel at the front desk (I apologize about not spelling her name right) was so wonderfully helpful-she was truly amazing!! As for the rest of the people we dealt with we all were very impressed. Every one of the parents on the team commented on how much they appreciated the hotel and the people we came in contact with. We couldn't have asked for better accommodations or staff. Everyone said hello!!! The hotel was clean and very accommodating. Can't say the same for our parents but that's our problem :) The buffet was wonderful and the girls enjoyed the food very much.

Brendt was especially helpful with the Pasta Dinner Saturday evening, he had already extended the deadline to allow for us to eat following our last game, but then when the boys were all wet & cold from the weather, he extended again to allow for them to have a shower & change, then he made arrangements for breakfast to stay open Sunday until 10.00am so we could eat following our early game Sunday morning! Please pass on our thanks to Brendt for this. We truly had a great stay, and it was the little things the hotel provided that made it even better. In closing I would also like to thank you for the “Goodie basket” you left in the room for me, this was very much appreciated and certainly appreciated. I am sure it is things like this that set you apart from the rest. Thanks again, it was a great weekend and hopefully next year we can stay with you again when we come to the tournament!
On behalf of the Southend Dynamos, I would like to express my gratitude to you and the staff at the Marriot, especially your intern Megan who handled my check in. Our team has stayed at a few hotels in prior tournaments, but I must say that your staff went out of their way and were extremely courteous. Something that I have not seen from a hotel on a while. "I just wanted to say thanks for an outstanding tournament. While the weather might not have been to co-operative, it certainly did not dampen the weekend we had. This is the 1st time we have entered this tournament and the experience was one that shall keep us returning with other teams within our program for many years to come. We stayed at the Marriott Northeast Hotel, and they certainly know how to look after athletic teams, they went above and beyond all weekend for us.
Overall a great tournament and I am glad we were accepted to be part of it. I look forward to next year’s event already!

The waitress we had Friday evening in the restaurant (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) was awesome! Very attentive and never got flustered...in fact, a couple of the dad's were teasing her and giving her some flack (in a good-natured way) and she gave it right back, also in a good-natured way. Please extend our thanks to her. The food was very good in the restaurant - a pleasant surprise as we typically shy away from hotel restaurants. Wish the prices were just a tad less but all in all, a delicious meal was had both Friday and Saturday evening.
